SIMON LUNDMAN REBUILDS OLD SCANIA
– A TRIBUTE TO HIS DAD, A TRUE TRUCK LEGEND

For Simon Lundman, trucks are more than a livelihood – they’re heritage, passion, and a way to honor family history. As the owner of Lundmans Djurtransporter, Simon carries forward the company his father once built. Eleven years after taking over the business, he not only runs the daily operations but has also made a name for himself through social media, truck shows and his role in the TV-show Svenska Truckers.

Now, Simon has finished his newest project: bringing back to life the Scania Longline his father built in 1996. “It’s a tribute to my dad and the truck that was the pride of our company“, Simon says.

“This built is for my dad”, Simon says about Lundmans Oldtimer.

The project consumed countless hours – seven months filled with, as Simon puts it, “blood, sweat, and tears,” with up to 17 people working on it at once. The result is nothing short of spectacular. The truck, named Lundmans Oldtimer, is finished in black paint with red flakes, topped with 18 layers of clear coat – a total of 376 liters used to create its deep, gleaming finish.

Lighting plays a central role in Simon’s vision. His Oldtimer is equipped with six Olympus Driving Lights, mounted low on the front for a bold, old-school look.

“Olympus has such a clean, powerful look – exactly what I wanted for the truck’s front.”

The choice wasn’t just about aesthetics. “Olympus gives a really strong light in the autumn and winter darkness,” he says. “They have a stylish design that fits perfectly with the build – and the light performance is incredible.” Olympus delivers a powerful beam reaching 844 meters at 1 lux and 12 400 lumens in boost mode, ensuring Simon’s truck has both style and outstanding visibility on the road.

“They look great, they shine great – and they’re worth every penny. Buy Olympus for your own truck – they’re powerful, well-designed and you won’t regret it.”

Simon has been hands-on with every part of the build. Along the sides and at the rear, BriodLights position lamps stretch the full length of the truck, seamlessly integrated into the design. Where the truck once had gaps, Simon welded everything shut, ensuring the lamps fit perfectly into place.

At the back, the finishing touch comes with twelve Fristom round rear lights with black rings – six on each side. “They’re really something special,” Simon explains. “The black rings tie in perfectly with the rest of the truck’s look.”

The Scania Longline has already covered 2 680 000 km kilometers in its lifetime, but this rebuild isn’t just about keeping it on the road – it’s about preserving a legacy.

Along the sides and at the rear, BriodLights LED position lights covers the full length of the truck and integrates seamlessy into the design. Built with durable PC lenses and approved to E9 standards, these position lamps deliver strong yellow light while offering both flat and tube-mount options.
At the back, Simon has mounted twelve Fristom round LED rear lamps with black rings – six on each side. Robust and E-approved, they combine position, brake and indicator functions in a compact design.

“They’re really great,” Simon explains. “The black rings tie in perfectly with the rest of the truck’s look.”
